The second meeting of the consultative committee was held yesterday. It continued in a sensible and consensual manner with the Company presenting fact sheets and other detail which were pretty much the same as we had already seen, they then answered the questions from the previous week and allowed discussion around some of them, which modified several responses.
Our team then outlined our plan for the remaining weeks to ensure the meetings did not continue to be Company driven. Our agenda structure was agreed and details of the plan for week 3 will be circulated in the Friday newsletter.
Behind the scenes legal and political initiatives are progressing, and on the AMIPP link there is notice that the Portsmouth Evening News gave some mention to our plight in an article focused on, and provided by, Unite, the union closest to our campaign.
In many other areas we are keeping our powder dry, which may be frustrating to many of the affected people who would like to see us climbing the ramparts, storming the castle and generally making a right nuisance of ourselves. There many battles through out the war, and skirmishes within those battles. Each week is being planned to the nth degree. Your team continue to focus on getting the best for us all from our deliberations. Here's to the next time.
